In 2016, after stepping away from my 26-year career at the Ritz-Carlton, I founded Haney Accounting with a clear vision: to empower local small businesses to maximize their profits. Driven by my passion for numbers and a desire to make a meaningful impact, I set out to collaborate closely with entrepreneurs who share my commitment to success. Recently, my son Davis, joined Haney Accounting, bringing with him nine years of accounting experience. His expertise enhances our ability to provide top-notch service, reinforcing our dedication to helping businesses thrive.
One of my very first clients was Wicked Bao, a restaurant that started as a humble idea and soon blossomed into one of the most successful startups in Fernandina Beach. Working alongside the dedicated team at Wicked Bao, I witnessed firsthand the transformative journey of turning a concept into a thriving business. Their success story has been a source of inspiration for me and has solidified my commitment to supporting businesses.

Brooks Haney
Owner
Brooks Haney is the owner of Haney Accounting and Consulting. With over 30 years of experience in the accounting, he is highly regarded and a reliable professional.
Brooks worked as the Director of Finance for the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company for 26 years. Since 2016, Brooks has provided bookkeeping and financial services to small businesses. He has a broad range of experience across various industries, including restaurant/bar, vacation rental, retail, hotel, wedding and construction industries.
Known for being very approachable, he enhances profitability by implementing effective controls and processes, while focusing on strategies that boost your financial success.
Brooks has lived on Amelia Island for 34 years and earned his degree from the University of North Florida. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis and golf, and watching college football.
Davis Haney
Partner
Davis Haney is a partner at Haney Accounting and Consulting, bringing over 9 years of accounting experience to the firm.
In his most recent role, he served as the Assistant Director of Finance for the Omni Amelia Island Resort and Spa, where he was responsible for overseeing financial operations. Prior to that, he worked at a local CPA firm specializing in small business bookkeeping. Additionally, Davis held the position of Area Revenue Manager for Marriott International, where he developed and implemented revenue strategies across multiple properties.
Davis earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of South Florida, as well as a degree in Business Administration from Valdosta State University. Davis is an expert in financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliation, and balance sheet cleanup. Davis believes the backbone of a successful business is having accurate financial information to guide the business decisions.
Born and raised in Fernandina Beach, Davis enjoys spending time with his family, as well as playing tennis and pickleball. He is a fan of all college sports.
